Can you spot all the hidden Easter eggs? There are tons of lore references hidden in this illustration of the Other Mother from Coraline. Starting at the very top is the beetle from the door of the Pink Palace home, the eyes are made of the button "moon" from the other world, and the other eye is the house itself. Right above the house is the Beldam's needle hand. Making the cheek bones are the spy mice on the left, and the fallen tree on the right (and the hole in the trunk makes the Other Mother's mole). Coraline, at the center of this world, makes the nose, and she's standing on the garden bridge. Instead of handrails, we have the words "Welcome Home" from the cake Other Mother made for Coraline on her first day there, complete with the double-looped letter "o" indicating a lie! Inside the mouth of the Beldam are bugs, and a spider of course. Finally, the lower jaw is made of the black cat, catching a spy rat. Hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!
